Most riders spend more hours at a desk than on the bike. A mini bikepark is a way to bring a bit of the weekend into the office: a small scene with bikes, riders and ramps that you can set up, change and play with between meetings. It is one of the best desk toys for adults who ride, and it makes a great gift too. Here is how to build one, step by step.
1. Start with the bikes

Everything starts with one or two bikes. At 1:6 scale they are about 20 cm long, big enough to look real on a desk and small enough not to get in the way. Ours are made of metal, with suspension that compresses and a chain that turns the rear wheel, so they roll properly down a ramp. Pick a downhill or enduro model for a bikepark feel.
2. Add riders

A bike without a rider looks like it is parked. An articulated 1:6 figure sits on the saddle, grips the bars and can be posed mid-jump, standing next to the bike or looking at the line. Two riders already tell a story: one dropping in, one watching from the side.
3. Build the features with ramps

Ramps are what turn a desk into a bikepark. A quarter pipe and a landing ramp let you set up a jump line: the bike rolls off the lip and lands on the other side. Move them closer or further apart to change the gap, or put a book under one side to make it steeper.
4. Shape the terrain with a remote-control loader

If you want to go further, the RC Trail Builder is a remote-controlled mini loader with a working arm and bucket. You can use it to move material around, build berms and shape the trails between your ramps, just like a real trail crew. It turns the bikepark into a project you keep improving.
5. Ideas for scenes
A few ideas to get started: a start gate made with two books and a ruler, a line of ramps along the edge of the monitor, a podium with three riders after a race, or a crash scene with a rider on the ground. Change the scene every week; it is also a good excuse to take photos and share them.
6. The easy way: a ready-made pack

If you prefer not to choose piece by piece, the packs bring everything together. The Crew Pack has three bikes and three riders; the Ultimate Bike Pack has two bikes, two riders and a full set of ramps, ready to build your first line as soon as you open the box.
Your weekend, on your desk
A mini bikepark will not replace a day on the trails, but it keeps them in sight all week. Start with a bike and a ramp, add riders, and let the park grow.
